New Poll Shows Super Majority Of Republicans Have Made Their 2024 Choice
Information about New Poll Shows Super Majority Of Republicans Have Made Their 2024 Choice
A new Quinnipiac University poll out on Tuesday shows an astonishing 4-out-of-5 Republicans would like to see former President Donald Trump make a third run for the White House in 2024.
Of those surveyed, 78% said Trump should run again, while only 16% of Republicans polled said he should not.
The GOP nomination seems like a foregone conclusion for Trump, though anything could happen in the next two years.

Signs Leaning Towards A Third Run
Donald Trump’s core base has always been a strong one, and at least at the moment, it doesn’t seem like he has any real competition on the national stage.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is the closest thing to real competition Trump currently has – though the two are allies. DeSantis will undoubtedly be a presidential contender, but perhaps not in 2024.
The same Quinnipiac University poll taken back in May showed only 66% of Republicans wanted Trump to run in 2024.

For those that are watching for signs of a 2024 Trump run there are other clues. The former President has ramped up his traveling schedule, including trips to swing states like Iowa.
Trump has also endorsed many interesting GOP candidates for the 2022 midterm elections, including Kari Lake for Arizona governor, Joe Kent, who is running for Washington state’s third congressional district against incumbent Jamie Herrera Beutler (who voted to impeach Trump for the January 6 Capitol violence), and North Carolina Congressman Ted Budd in his run for the senate. All are candidates who, prior to Trump’s endorsement did not have much name recognition.
Trump is also doing well in the fundraising arena. He is amassing large sums of cash, the majority of which comes from small dollar donors.
The vital question is not whether Trump is running in 2024.
The vital question is whether Trump is ready to push the GOP old guard out of office and remake the party in his image.

The January 6 Narrative And The Fortunes Of Other Candidates
The media and even some Republicans have continued to debate whether or not Donald Trump played a role in the violence at the Capitol on January 6, and if so, what that role was.
The accepted storyline is that Donald Trump “incited an insurrection” based on “unfounded” claims that the election was stolen. That has led to an official Congressional select committee, headed by virulently anti-Trump Democrats and two ‘Never Trump’ Republicans.
Cynics would argue that the purpose of the committee is to damage Trump ahead of 2024.
The same people guaranteeing you that Trump won’t run again in 2024 are the exact same people who laughed and said he would never be elected in 2016.
There are receipts.

Biden Voters Having Buyer’s Remorse
Joe Biden will soon complete his tenth month in office, and no one, not even Democrats, appear to be happy with the results.
A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows 62% of American voters say that the Biden administration’s policies are “either somewhat or very responsible” for the increase in inflation. The numbers break down to 41% of Democrats, 61% of Independents, and 85% of Republicans.
The right track/wrong track news does not get any better for Joe Biden. Only 38% of voters said the country is heading on the right track.
Unfortunately for Democrats, Donald Trump seems to be the thing that just won’t go away.
