We are all hoping a few things will disappear in 2022 — COVID-19 and inflation, for starters.

However, depending on your preferences, you may get a little misty-eyed at some of the car models that are slated to vanish from the scene later this year.

Car and Driver says more than two-dozen models will head to that great dealership in the sky and will not have new 2022 models.

Vehicles that will soon be absent from new car lots include:

  • BMW 2-Series Convertible
  • BMW M2
  • BMW i3
  • Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat
  • Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
  • Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
  • Honda Clarity EV
  • Hyundai Ioniq Electric
  • Hyundai Veloster
  • Kia Sedona
  • Lotus Evora GT
  • Mazda CX-3
  • Mazda 6
  • McLaren Elva
  • Mercedes-AMG A35
  • Mercedes-AMG CLS53
  • Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe
  • Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster
  • Nissan NV
  • Nissan NV200
  • Polestar 1
  • Porsche Macan Turbo
  • Rolls-Royce Dawn
  • Rolls-Royce Wraith
  • Subaru WRX STI
  • Toyota Land Cruiser
  • Volvo V60
  • Volvo V90
  • Volkswagen Passat

It’s worth noting that some of these models will live on in a different form. For example, parts of the Volvo V60 and V90 wagon lineup — the V60 Cross Country and V90 Cross Country models — will make it through 2022.

And “arguably the best version of Hyundai’s Veloster” — the Veloster N — will continue, Car and Driver says.

This year’s dearly departed car models follow more than 20 models that disappeared in 2021, the publication says.
